The United States of America, once the bastion of democracy, now has a Dick-tator as its President. And the majority of Americas not only voted for him, but knew this situation would happen. Donald Trump was allowed by his own party to put the most in-experienced team of cabinet members into his inner circle. And now we know why.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, the former Television Presenter, revealed war plans on a confidential Signal group chat that mistakenly included un-authorised recipients. He was forced to apologise, cap in hand, to his boss. To any other leader this was a sackable offence. Not to Donald though. He now had his undivided loyalty, and kept him in his job.
Then came Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. She told the Senate Intelligence Committee on March 25 that there was no intelligence to suggest Iran was building nuclear weapons, though the country had enriched its uranium to higher levels. Donald told the world that she was wrong. She then retracted her statement saying she was taken out of context. To any other leader incompetence would be a sackable offence. Not to Donald though. He now had her undivided loyalty and kept her in her job. And to add indignity to Tulsi Gabbard she was a Democrat up until the 2024 election. The turn-coat change from her liberal views to became a republican on the context of being promised a role in his cabinet. Now her career is in tatters.
